In 2025, Hong Kong regained its position as the world’s top IPO venue, marking one of the strongest years in its capital markets history. The city once again led global rankings in both total fundraising and the number of mega listings, underscoring its status as a leading international financial centre.
According to the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX), the city achieved HK$274.6 billion in funds raised from 106 new listings, with four of the world’s top 10 IPOs taking place in Hong Kong. This performance was buoyed by record-high market turnover, deep international capital inflows and strong demand from companies across Asia seeking a globally recognised and liquid exchange to support their growth.
