Hi there!
Thank you for the tremendous engagement both on-site and online! It’s been 7 weeks, and we’re already preparing for #FIBE25. The FIBE team had a kick-off meeting to discuss how we could adjust the festival concept. We considered how to better address our different stakeholder groups, the benefits we want FIBE to offer each of you, changes we want to make to our website, networking elements on-site, the messages we want to deliver with our programme, and much more. The kick-off was scheduled for 4 hours, and we ended up staying for 5 hours with a lot of input and even more questions.

This brings me to the first official step towards the second festival edition: If you want to partner with us next year, we are offering a super early bird discount on almost all partner packages in our partner shop from July 15 for one month only! This will be of particular interest to those who want to be integrated into, for example, our stage programs or the hosting of a networking session.
Mark your calendar to ensure you don't miss out!

This year, we had 40 amazing partners on board. At FIBE, we then held a networking session on how to become a partner at #FIBE25, that drew a lot of interest.
We would now like to invite everyone considering partnering with us again or for the first time to a summer BBQ, where we can chat and answer all your questions. Sign up with your name, position and company by June 24 if you're interested!

In today's world, digital and financial accessibility are basic necessities for people, and necessary conditions for achieving economic wealth. Financial inclusion, in particular, has long been recognized as a cornerstone for reducing poverty and boosting economic prosperity. However, due to geographical, economic, or societal constraints, traditional banking systems have often fallen short of reaching the underbanked populations.
From mobile banking and payments to peer-to-peer lending and blockchain technology, fintech innovations have fundamentally altered the landscape of financial services, contributing significantly to the advancement of financial inclusion.

In our newsroom we explore the progress in financial inclusion and the impact of fintech.

Berlin’s Tech Ecosystem Evolution: From Zero to Hero with Carolin Gabor, Miriam Wohlfarth, and Sascha Dewald; The Power of AI for Financial Inclusion with Ali Niknam, Adrian Locher, and Maik Taro Wemeyer; and more. Did you miss it or couldn’t be there? Here are some of the highlights!

You might have seen the first Martha Unscripted with Carolin Gabor already? The next one will feature superwoman Nicola Breyer. Their conversation prompted us to explore some of the topics further, such as VC investments in women-led startups (what a coincidence that Jessica Holzbach wrote about this only recently) and the fintech world in Switzerland. You can read all about it online and watch the full video.

Thank you for tuning in! I hope summer has started wherever you are.
Best,
Madeline
